Katalyst Cares: Combining Passion with Talent to Better Serve Our Communities
At Katalyst, we believe that investing in goodness never fails. And our employees are true drivers of this very pillar – leaving a positive imprint on the communities we serve. Because, in the end, servicing others is the key to any appreciable success.
Nagesh Doddaka, Client Partner at Katalyst Software Services Limited, is an example of such. With a specialty in technology and technology services, Nagesh has a passion for servicing his clients, partners, and staff members – but he also shares that same sentiment when it comes to supporting the communities within his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
For 5 consecutive years, Nagesh has volunteered as an active Coordinator for Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA), a free clinic for visiting parents, seniors and those without insurance. Similar to recruiting candidates in his role at Katalyst, Nagesh works with TAMA to find and attract potential volunteers to contribute to the cause at hand.
The idea for TAMA first began in 2012, with the focus on providing basic health care access to those uninsured and under-insured, and by 2014, the concept came to life. The organization gained a Certificate of Appreciation from the Georgia Department of Public Health (GADPH) for its valued services. TAMA is also recognized by the South Asian Public Health Association (SAPHA) as a Community Champion Organization for making a difference and improving the quality of life of South Asians.
Through the years, the clinic has experienced tremendous growth. TAMA now serves more than 4,000 people in need of medical services.
Similarly, the number of registered volunteers and doctors has risen to 26 and 12 respectively. Such progression wouldn’t be possible without the selfless service of the doctors and volunteers, who have supported the initiative day after day.
The Melinda Gates Foundation has taken notice of the life-changing work being done at TAMA. As it happens, the foundation interviewed Nagesh for research purposes to learn more about the organization’s impact. These moments of recognition are testaments to what employee passion and talent can bring to not just our business, but to our individual communities and beyond. Through effective collaboration and networking, Nagesh looks forward to transforming communities, one fellow citizen at a time.
Katalyst is a champion of corporate social responsibility. Whether we’re providing free health assistance to our neighbors or building a technological future for society, the possibilities for philanthropy are limitless, and we’re devoted to doing our part. Thank you, Nagesh, and everyone at Katalyst who live out our mission of corporate citizenship both in and outside of the office.
